Overview

Located on a 300-acre tract in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the school was founded by Newton M. Anderson and Charles A. Mitchell, who earlier had combined their efforts to found University School in Cleveland, OH.

Asheville School is a nationally acclaimed coed boarding school for students _in grades 9 through 12. Since its founding more than a century ago, Asheville School has been preparing high school students with an education for a lifetime. A rigorous academic experience focused on a traditional core curriculum challenges students and gives them the foundation to become better thinkers and communicators.
