    Overview

    The Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University is a diverse environment where you will be inspired to imagine, play, and create. We educate artist-practitioners and scholars and inspire values of creativity, collaboration, communication, and adventure.

    We provide you with the professional tools and mentorship you need to hone your craft, create lifelong friendships, and build up your experience, network, and skills to further your career.

    OCA is an academic division of Southern Oregon University. We also serve as a community arts presenter, partner, and producer. The OCA is comprised of Academic Programs, the Schneider Museum of Art (SMA), and Affiliated Arts Programs and Community Arts Partnerships.

    Our academic programs include Music, Theater, Creative Arts, and offer the following degrees:

    Our performance facilities on the Southern Oregon University Campus include: a 436 seat Music Recital Hall (Music Building), a 295 seat Main Stage Theater and 82 seat Black Box Theater. Our newly remodeled Theater Building is now complete, where our students enjoy expanded areas for costume design and production, state of the art lighting and digital technology, and additional studio spaces for creative development and performances.
