    Unleash your imagination and explore the art of storytelling through film, animation, and digital media at the NSLC on Film & Animation for middle school students. This immersive program in Washington, D.C. offers a creative blend of workshops in digital art, music and film production, theatrical performance, and graphic design.

    Students will collaborate in small groups to write, direct, and produce their own short film or commercial, gaining hands-on experience in every stage of the filmmaking process—from concept to final edit. Guided by industry professionals and experienced mentors, participants will also explore techniques in animation, sound, and visual design while building confidence as creative thinkers and collaborators.

    Students will have the opportunity to explore Washington, D.C. through trips and outings that may include visits to the Smithsonian Institution, ARTECHOUSE, and a film studio.
