Designed for high school students who are curious about starting a career in architecture, interior design, landscape design, and more, The Boston Architectural College’s (BAC) Early College Program helps you launch your future in studying design with leading professionals and peers from around the globe.
For over 15 years, the BAC's Summer Academy has provided high school students (grades 9-12) with hands-on design and material exercises. Summer Academy provides high school students hands-on design experiences. This summer 2022 it will be offered as an on-site experience and a synchronous virtual experience. On-site students experience live lectures, exercises, site and professional firm visits around Boston, and hands-on design and building in teams. Virtual students explore case study buildings, attend site and professional firm visits through video streaming, and receive material kits allowing participation in hands-on design.
No design experience is required! You’ll participate in daily discussions through synchronous webinars, virtual reality case study buildings and professional firm visits, and hands-on design and building in teams. Our students are aspiring artists, architects, interior designers, engineers, industrial designers, computer game creators, landscape designers, and more.
Students in 11th and 12th grade who complete the BAC Summer Academy program earn 1.5 college credits, and are eligible for a $2,000 scholarship towards one of the BAC's undergraduate programs.
