    Overview

The United Jewish Council of the East Side (UJCES) works to support the Lower East Side and wider NYC community through a wide range of human services and community development programs. While the majority of programs are oriented to older adults, UJCES also has programs for families and children. UJCES volunteers are essential to our mission as we serve New Yorkers.

Lunch Service Volunteers will assist with a weekday meal program at UJCES’s Adult Luncheon Club (Willett Street/Bialystoker Place).

    Volunteers will assist with:

    • Serving meals to older adult clients during noontime lunch service
    • Setup and cleanup of dining area
    • Monitoring social distancing

Shifts will be 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., on weekdays. This opportunity is available for groups of up to seven volunteers.

You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer in this role, and groups of volunteers 14-17 years old must be accompanied by adult guardian(s).

    HOW TO SIGN UP

Join the UJCES team! Please complete an online application form on the UJCES website. You can sign up on your own, or with a group of friends, family, or coworkers (group of 7 maximum).
