We offer great, hands on experiences to learn more about how a non-profit works, while assisting our organization at the same time! We offer school credit when possible! We are a very positive group of people and love to add new people and ideas to our team!
The Dream Builders Project (DBP) is a Los Angeles based, nonprofit organization. Founded in October 2013, The DBP was created with one plan and one goal in mind, to give back to the community. As an action-based charity, The DBP is committed to community growth by assisting other charities, nonprofits, organizations, and foundations also dedicated to making the world a better place. The DBP hosts charitable events to fund and raise awareness for several of Los Angeles’ key social issues, including child abuse, homelessness, and severe illness and disease.
Some initiatives of The DBP include charity galas, visits to orphanages, as well as food and clothing drives. The DBP’s signature Flash Mobs are a great example of how a small effort can make a huge difference. Bringing together a large number of community volunteers for a short period of time, The DBP Flash Mobs hand out kits to groups, such as the homeless. In doing this, The DBP provides a small amount of relief while also raising awareness about people living under these types of circumstances via social media and our internationally-recognized hashtag, #DBPLA.
As a channel for the community to interact, connect and build relationships with admirable nonprofit organizations, The DBP brings people together for the greater good of the community. With a strong network of volunteers and professional contacts, The DBP utilizes modern technology and social media platforms to interact with both seasoned philanthropists and young activists.
In the eyes of The DBP, there is no limit to giving back, and as long as there is a demand for help, they will deliver
