The South Bay Food Initiative is a group of volunteers dedicated to the eradication of food insecurity. We have awareness and volunteer events every month.
The South Bay Food Initiative is a group of volunteers that works with organizations all over Southern California who serve those with food insecurity. Our group helps collect food items, sort food, make baskets, and serves food. Approximately 1.4 million people in Los Angeles County live with food insecurity. That equates to 16% of residents not knowing where their next meal will come from. Every month, the South Bay Food Initiative has food insecurity awareness events and volunteer opportunities. Visit the website (www.southbayfoodinitiative.com) to check out upcoming events and sign up to volunteer. You will not only help us eradicate hunger, but you will also earn valuable community service hours.
