The NextGen Forest Ambassadors stewardship program for teens offers a youth summit where teens name obstacles to nature and actionable solutions, choose between various workshops from expert conservationists, plan and execute a stewardship COMMUNITY SERVICE project with 1-1 mentoring from land managers. This entirely FREE program offers a $100 stipend upon successful completion of all program elements. Transportation and gear provided as needed.

We are looking for ambassadors ages 14-16 to participate in two nights of EXPERT-LED CAMPING and a 1-night excursion to the Len Foote Hike Inn - a rustic, backcountry lodge accessed by a 5-mile guided hike through CHATTAHOOCHEE NATIONAL FOREST in North Georgia.

This April they'll be introduced to OUTDOOR STEWARDSHIP and receive HANDS-ON TRAINING to help them CONNECT AND INSPIRE others. Camping and hiking FUN round out with a YOUTH SUMMIT where they will lend their POWERFUL VOICES to find ways to connect other young people to the public lands that BELONG TO ALL OF US.

Afterwards we challenge them to go into their communities SHARING their outdoor STEWARDSHIP EXPERIENCES and UNIQUE PERSPECTIVES!
