JDRF provides many avenues of fundraising opportunities to find a cure for type 1 diabetes, including a JDRF One Walk in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties, Kids Walks at local schools, and our annual Hope Gala.

The JDRF South Florida Chapter works with Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. We help provide outreach opportunities for our families with members diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D). We are looking for volunteers to help us in our Fort Lauderdale office to prepare for our upcoming events!

Sample in-office volunteer activities include: computer data entry, preparing supplies for fundraisers at local schools, labeling envelopes for mailings, assembling awards, and other general office projects. Volunteers are scheduled for a shift anytime between 10am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. We can schedule you on a one-time or ongoing basis. Saturday opportunities are available during our special events throughout the year. Contact the office for more details! JDRF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
