Each year, thousands of volunteers support Food & Friends in delivering nutritious meals to individuals facing serious illnesses. The mission of Food & Friends is to foster a community caring for men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling.
All individual volunteers must first attend an orientation and undergo a criminal background check to get started. Food and Friends asks for at least a 6 month or 20 hour commitment from all individual volunteers.
