    Overview

    The Community Enrichment Center's (CEC) mission is to restore hope, share God's love and change lives in our community. The CEC is a faith-based non-profit serving Tarrant County families in crisis by providing the resources, tools and encouragement these families need to improve their lives.

    Each year hundreds of volunteers donate their time to support the CEC's mission and programs. Whether you're an individual or a large group, there's a volunteer opportunity that will fit your schedule and interests.

    Opportunities:

    CEC Brent Barrow Golf Classic:Time & Location: Tuesday, April 14 - Bear Creek Golf ClubPurpose: The CEC Golf Classic exists to fundraise money in support of CEC programs which aim to provide the tools that help families in crisis gain the knowledge and skills they need to become safe, secure, emotionally and financially stable. Duties: -Volunteers assist with check in, shuttle carts, on the hole contests, raffles and many other areas-Assist in the distribution of lunch and dinner to participants-Must be 16 years or older

    Food Pantry: Days & Times: Mondays –Fridays8:00am - 4:00pmThursdays8:00am -7:30pmThe busiest time and need for volunteers is the FIRST WEEK of the month and weekday morning between 9:00am –1:00pm.     After School Tutoring: Days and Times:Program Begins January 2020 Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursday 4:00pm -5:30pmLocation:TBDPurpose: Our After School Tutoring Program is an opportunity for volunteers to provide academic support and build relationships with elementary aged children who are members of families in crisis. Duties: ?Provide individual or small group (1-3 students) homework tutoring ?Engage children in enjoyable learning experiences ?Help children feel successful by giving positive support?Must be 1 4years of age or over (unaccompaniedby an adult)?Adults must pass a background check (processes by the CEC)
