Bikes for the World
Overview
Bikes for the World's mission is to assist poor people overseas become more productive through providing affordable bicycles for personal transport to work, school, and health services.
Secondarily, provide satisfying community service opportunities to Americans collecting bikes and spare parts--towards realizing this primary goal of helping others overseas.
We look for enthusiastic volunteers sharing our humanitarian and environmental mission, who with our guidance and support can take initiative in everything from participating in a team effort prepping individual bikes for efficient storage and shipping, to helping us load a 40' shipping container of 500+ bicycles, to organizing and managing the collection of used bicycles in the teen's own community.
