Youth Basketball Summer Camps in Spain will provide young basketball players with fun and intense training to take their basketball game to the next level with professional basketball coaches. Where?

In the South part of the Valencia Region, Alicante is located 185 Km from Valencia, 60 Km from Elche, 515 Km from Barcelona and 422 Km from Madrid.

Alicante has excellent connections with other cities in Spain and Europe. Alicante airport (El Altet) is located 11 km from Alicante and it is about 30 min from the airport to the city centre.

When?

Overnight Basketball Camp

1-week camp: from Sunday 15 July to Sunday 22 or from Sunday 23 to Sunday 29 (arrival from 16:00 h at the residence and departure between 9:00 and 12:00 from the residence)

2-week camp: from Sunday 15 July to Sunday 29 (arrival from 16:00 h at the residence and departure between 9:00 and 12:00 from the residence)

Day Basketball Camp

1-week Basketball Camp: from Monday 16 to Friday 20 or from Monday 23 to Friday 27 (arrival Monday at 9:20 at the Sports Hall) and departure Friday at 18:30 at Zador language School.

2-weeks Basketball Camp: from Monday 16 to Friday 20 and from Monday 23 to Friday 27 (arrival Monday at 9:20 at the Sports Hall) and departure Friday at 18:30 at Zador language School.

Coaches and assistant coaches

• David Gil, senior basketball coach and assistant coach in the Spanish League, is the sports consultant in charge of planning training sessions.

•Camp coaches include Mladen Jegdic, FIBA senior basketball coach from Serbia; Shay Millar West, professional basketball player from US and other senior coaches.

• Assistant coaches with extensive experience of coaching at youth levels and at camps

• On-site physiotherapist at training sessions.

Language Courses

- 3 lessons per day English or Spanish language courses taught by Zador Language School in Alicante are designed to obtain practical results in Spanish or English language skills: verbal fluency, quick listening and reading comprehension, as well as correct writing.

Language lessons are taught by fully qualified professionals who have ample experience in teaching languages.

The teachers use imaginative techniques and systems, some traditional and others innovative, encouraging the students to obtain the maximum results while they are with us.

Accomodation

3-star Hotel-Residence Accommodation

The Hotel-Residence is situated in the university area, about 15 minutes by transport from the basketball courts and the language school in Alicante city centre.

All rooms are exterior-facing and are exceptionally bright. Each room has a fully-equipped bathroom, WIFI Internet connection, TV,and air-conditioning. These 18 square metre rooms are fully-furnished with 2 or 3 beds, wardrobe, and study desk.

Activities

Residential participants at the basketball camp join up with the participants of the tennis, sailing, surfing or golf camps to take part in guided sightseeing visits scheduled for the weeks the basketball camp takes place.

These visits include the city of Alicante (Santa Bárbara Castle, Museum of Archeology, Bonfires Museum), beach trips, shopping evening, etc.

During their stay, basketball camp participants take part in planned activities alongside both Spanish and foreign participants from the tennis, sailing, windsurfing and golf camps.

Zador staff will accompany campers during activities. One camp counsellor for every 10-15 participants.
