    Ready for an original experience this summer? Spend a week exploring what you love in UNC Asheville’s Pre-College Programs. Our programs enroll rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors for weeklong immersion programs, combining academic excellence with outdoor adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The programs introduce students to college-level study, university life, and career options in a dynamic learning environment.

    Each program exemplifies the high-quality arts and sciences approach that is a hallmarkof UNC Asheville and pairs participants with expert faculty and industry professionals in concentrations including:

    • Film Scoring & Sound Design
    • Geology & Adventure
    • Meteorology
    • Music Composition & Songwriting
    • River Ecology & Adventure

    • Game Design & AI
    • Wildlife Wonders: Appalachian Zoology

    Format: Pre-College Programs run from Sunday to Friday, and each day is filled with both classroom and recreational activity. All programs include hands-on learning and projects, and many programs will feature off-campus excursions. All students live on campus to fully experience university life and the surrounding community.

    Eligibility: Pre-College Programs are open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

    Living on Campus: Double occupancy in a shared suite. Residence halls are air-conditioned. Meals will be in Brown Dining Hall.

    Tuition: Includes lodging, meals, all course materials, activities, and excursions.
