    Overview

Tohkomeupog is a traditional overnight boys’ camp located on 1000 acres of New Hampshire wilderness and surrounding the sparkling waters of a private lake.

At Tohkomeupog, we focus on those sports and skills which can best be acquired and enjoyed out of doors.

    Outdoor Adventure, Friendship, Opportunity!

At Tohkomeupog, we focus on those sports and skills which can best be acquired and enjoyed out of doors. We believe that a boy needs this outdoor experience for a healthy balance in his life. It is also our feeling that better understanding will lead to a more fulfilling enjoyment. So experiences at camp should be educational, as well as recreational in nature.

Camp Tohkomeupog is fortunate to be located both within the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, as well as on the edge of the White Mountain National Forest. This creates endless possibilities for exploration and adventure.

In recent years, camp has expanded the trip curriculum by incorporating a variety of adventure activities. Opportunities such as Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, White Water Canoeing and Sea Kayaking are now an exciting part of our routine.

These activities, however, are anything but routine. All adventure activities focus on safety as the top priority – and initial training will often be done right at camp. A network of mountain biking trails, a climbing wall, and of course, our private lake, enables boys to practice appropriate techniques before heading out into the wild.

Other adventure facilities include high and low ropes initiative courses. Here the challenge assumes many identities. High in the trees, individual campers must search within to push personal boundaries of determination and courage. At ground level, individuals must learn to communicate and work together to resolve problems and negotiate obstacles.

    CIT Program

(10th grade) – campers who demonstrate a positive attitude and maturity in judgment during their wolf clan years are encouraged to apply for the counselor-in-training, (CIT) program. Up to 9 individuals are selected to participate in this intensive leadership development opportunity. Boys rotate through camp, spending 2 weeks within each of the younger three age groups. They live in the cabins and assist in all aspects of encampment life. It proves to be one of their most challenging and rewarding of summers.
