Theatricum Summer Youth Drama Camp: Shakespeare (Ages 8-14)
Experience the magic of YDC! Children collaborate, create, and build confidence in a nurturing, child-centered environment. Our expert teaching artists and caring group leaders engage your child in Fencing, Stage Combat, Improvisation, Voice/Speech, Elizabethan Song and Dance, and more! Culminating in a performance of a Shakespeare play. An exuberant celebration of all that they have learned!
Theatricum Youth Drama Camp: Folk Music (Ages 8-14)
Sing, dance and tell stories during this celebration of American Folk music. Children learn the songs of legends like Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, as well as the historical events that inspired them! Experienced teaching artists engage your child in all the elements of performing these great folk songs as they discover the strength of working in a creative ensemble. Sing along with your children during their moving final performance and discover, through music, the journey America has taken to become mindful, kind, and inclusive.
Is Youth Drama Camp right for your child? Consider that the camp is designed to excite young people to Shakespeare through ensemble storytelling techniques. Children who enjoy working in a group and have the ability for sustained concentration have fun and flourish in our camp. Your child must be able to attend the full session, plus performance dates in order to apply.
