The Coding School's codeConnects - Online and Instructor-Led since 2017!

With engineers at Google, Microsoft and MIT, we've created the most supportive, personalized, and in-depth coding education possible...all from the comfort of your own home. Since 2017, The Coding School has been pioneering online coding education to students around the world (40 countries and counting!).

Our one-of-a-kind, online coding programs include:

    • Summer Tech camps in specialized tech areas like:
      • Creative Tech & Design, Quantum Computing, Music+Tech, andTech Taster
    • One-on-one & Code-with-Friends Lessons taught by engineers at companies including Amazon, Disney, Netflix and NASA, and computer scientists at top universities including Stanford, Harvard and Yale

Our programs are open to students grades 4-12 and incoming university students. No prior coding experience is needed. Space is limited.

Tech Taster: Perfect for students new to coding, this two-week camp teaches students the fundamental coding concepts in Python and introduces students to specialized areas of tech, like AI, Cyber Security, Data Science, and Web Development, through hands-on activities and projects! Some of your instructors include engineers at Disney, Microsoft, Facebook, and JP Morgan.

Web Development: Students learn how to design and develop websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - three programming languages at the crux of web development. Through project-based learning, students will develop their own personal websites, Instagram feed, meme generator and more!

Creative Tech For all art and design lovers, this camp is for you! Students learn how to create art and animations with a UX/UI design focus using the programming language JavaScript.

Cyber Security: Students will learn about key areas of cyber security, including hashing, network security, and cyber attacks and defenses - all while building out real-world cyber programming skills.

Artificial Intelligence: In this camp, students delve into the exciting field of machine learning (ML), a subfield of AI. Through hands-on learning, they work on projects, such as image classification (where they’ll train an ML algorithm to identify different types of animals), all while developing programming skills in Python.

Pre-AP and College Prep CS: Learning how to code can be hard, but with the right support, it doesn’t have to be! This two-week course introduces students to the most important programming concepts that are found in AP Computer Science and introductory college-level courses so students get a headstart on their courses in a supportive, failure-free environment.

Quantum ComputingTaught by MIT researchers, be one of the first middle or high school students in the world to learn about quantum computing! Through a mix of lectures, activities, and projects, students learn about quantum mechanics, information, and algorithms. By the end of the camp, students learn how to code a quantum computer and run quantum simulations — such as teleporting quantum information.

    1:1 and Code-With-Friends Coding Lessons

Paired with a personal instructor, learn to code at your own pace and delve into specialized tech fields that interest you, such as 3D Game Development, AI, Cyber Security, and Web Development!  Our instructors are engineers at top companies and universities, such as Harvard, Princeton, Tesla, NASA, and more.

Courses:  We're the only program that provides in-depth and advanced coding curriculums in specialized tech fields so students can combine their passions with tech, including:

    • Fundamentals of Computer Science in Python or Java
    • Pre-AP Computer Science
    • AI
    • Deep Learning
    • 3D Game Development
    • Cyber Security
    • Web Development (full-stack)
    • Data Science for Healthcare

    • It is great to see our son learning in a serious coding curriculum. His instructor has been excellent, and has taught him in a way that has increased his enthusiasm. I look forward to seeing his continued progress with The Coding School.

      - Middle school parent, Missouri - March 2, 2020
    • This course was incredible because of the curriculum, and my instructor. I was able to combine my interest in music into my coding projects which made learning coding awesome. My instructor was amazing and took time to explain concepts in a way I could easily understand them. He was the perfect teacher for me and I cannot wait to continue coding.

      - 8th grade student, PA - February 18, 2020
    • I enjoyed being able to learn what I wanted to instead of following a set curriculum. Learning 1-on-1 allowed me to move at my own pace and learn more advanced coding, which allowed me to expand my knowledge and move ahead of my peers in the field of computer science.

      - 10th grade school student, TX - February 16, 2020
    • This program’s personalized structure and the quality of the instructors make it unique and extremely impactful. We get extremely excited when considering the long term value for our son.

      - Middle school parent, Pennsylvania - January 10, 2020
    • I like the 1-to-1 lessons because I can learn at my own pace. I've learned a lot more than I would have if I was in a classroom setting. And I can concentrate on the area of my interest too.

      - 7th grade student, GA - January 6, 2020
    • My favorite part of the 1-on-1 lessons is being able to do more hands on learning, such as being taught the material and then going right into applying it.

      - 10th grade student - Lisbon, Portugal - December 19, 2019
    • I loved my personal coding lessons because I could ask any question I wanted at any time and have it answered. I felt more confident because my instructor would keep helping me until I understood the material.

      - Caroline, 12th grade student - New Jersey - December 15, 2019
    • My daughter's instructor was very knowledgeable and engaging. She knew her stuff and made it fun and relevant.

      - High School parent, CT - December 6, 2019
    • I thank you so much for the opportunity you are giving to our kids! This is a great program and we really appreciate the hard work it must take to bring this type of learning to children everywhere! Zach had a great time with his instructor and thought he was really cool and interesting to learn from.

      - High school parent - Indiana - October 14, 2019
    • This 1-to-1 program provided a lot more focus for my son. He learned a lot over the summer and was able to learn at his own pace. He's eager to continue his lessons. He became more confident and more interested in coding with his 1-to-1 lessons.
