Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and University policies, Summer Excelerator will run virtually during summer 2022. Engage in meaningful internship experiences, social activities, and deep leadership and professional development from the comfort of your home.

Summer Excelerator is a six-week long, paid internship program for current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Summer Excelerator matches students with internships at a variety of public and private sector employers throughout New York City. Summer Excelerator blends this real world professional experience with leadership development trainings and Jewish identity building. Summer Excelerator uses New York City as its canvas for participants to explore their identities while gaining valuable professional and leadership skills.

CONTINUING FOR SUMMER 2021! Experience Rewired - an independent learning module for teens. Program Details

Interns will attend their internships from Tuesdays through Thursdays. Interns will determine their hours with their employers, but most interns will work from 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm. Interns will receive a 30 day metrocard to commute to work and program activities to use for the duration of the program.

Each week, interns will participate in two intensives:

Monday (exploration days): Interns will explore museums and cultural sites and will volunteer locally. Interns will get out of their offices and will explore throughout NYC in order to build cohort and leadership skills.

Friday (leadership days): Interns will explore leadership development, Jewish identity, and professionalism through interactive seminars. Topics of seminars include: social innovation and entrepreneurship, leadership and personality, and Jewish community in New York City.
