    Overview

    StandOut Connect is a professional training program that helps to provide legitimate internships for high school students working alongside top university alumni.

    The StandOut Connect program is provided by StandOutSearch, the largest free database for high school internships, which was created thanks to investment from The University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Innovation. StandOut Connect is known for matching high school students with virtual internships relating to their interest areas. Students interview with potential mentors who are leaders and innovators within their area of interest until they are hired for a two-month internship. The program was created to make finding internships for high school students a less daunting task for students without personal connections.

    StandOut Connect Timeline: The program is run four times per year during the summer, fall, winter, and spring seasons.

    StandOut Connect Eligibility: Students must be a sophomore, junior, or senior to apply. International students must have demonstrated English fluency and be willing to adapt to a US time zone.
