    Overview

    Sewanee's Pre-College Field Studies Experience provides an interdisciplinary introduction to environmental studies. Students participate in ecological exploration with faculty, examining the plant & animal species that inhabit these ecosystems and using archaeological techniques to study how people have changed these ecosystems over time.

    This program is designed for for rising high school juniors and seniors with a history of academic succes who are passionate about the outdoors and want to advance their knowledge and skills in the study of the environment.

    Students will have the opportunity to explore Sewanee's ecologically diverse 13,000-acre campus under the guidance of faculty members who are passionate about environmental education.

    Cost and Session Information

    Program Dates: June 25 - July 8, 2017

    What will it cost?

    The cost of the 2016 program was $1750. Program costs cover all instruction, activities, room and board. Limited scholarships are available. Please inquire for more information. Transportation to and from the Nashville and Chattanooga airports is provided by a private shuttle company at an additional cost.
