    Overview

    Volcanoes in the Sea takes you on an exploration of the of Hawaiian volcanoes, including their physical characteristics (volcanology)and the incredible life forms within it (biology). Field trips will take you to the many volcanoes, beaches, coral reefs, and rugged coastlines, to learn about the life cycle of these volcanic islands through hands-on activities. 

    Field trips take you to active and inactive volcanoes, to old and new lava flows, to lava tubes, and to visit with the scientists, engineers, and conservationists that study these volcanoes and how to care for their natural resources as well as how to protect the communities that live on them.
