    Overview

We’ve deconstructed our popular in-person program and stitched it back togehter in an online format! We’ve added new and updated lessons in a variety of learning formats, more projects, and loads of exclusive online material and videos.

This clinic will take you from design to finished product with no experience necessary. There are four parts: two on Fashion Art and two on Garment Construction. You can take either topic first, and students who take all four will get an overview of the entire process while walking away with a strong foundation of skills. Whether you're a fashionista or want a career in fashion, this is the course for you!

    Cost and Session Information

    Each session is just $300!

    Fashion Art 1:Croquis & Friends

    July 13 - July 23

Students will learn to develop designs and communicate them using fashion croquis (also know as sketches). We’ll look at how fabric is used as a body covering and how to develop both beautiful and functional garments. Using a set of personalized croquis students will create fashion plates rendered in color.

    Monday - Thursday 10am - 12pm on Zoom

    Fashion Art 2:The Inspired Designer

    July 27 - August 6

With a closer look at how the fashion industry works, students will learn how designer’s create cohesive collections for the runway. Students will learn to source inspiration (think outside the box, it’s all around us!), and create a mood board for their own capsule collection to be presented as portfolio quality fashion plates.

    Monday - Thursday 10am - 12pm on Zoom

Garment Construction 1: Sew You Want the Basics

    August 10 - August 20

It’s all about the sewing machine. We’ll start with the basics, safety and how it works, and cover all the way trhough garment seaming and finishing techniques. Adding in patternmaking basics, students will get an overview of the construction process to draft and sew a simple fashion piece.

    Monday - Thursday 10am - 12pm on Zoom

Garment Construction 2From Concept to Creation

    August 24 - September 3

Bringing together everything from Parts 1 through 3, students will source fabric & materials to develop and construct an original garment in their own size and of their own design. We’ll walk through pattern manipulations and construction techniques taking students through the entire process, just like professionals in the industry!

    Monday - Thursday 10am - 12pm on Zoom

    Testimonials(1)

    • "My daughter attended the Summer Session & she thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband & I were impressed with the instruction she received. This experience allowed her to develop her skill set & decide what subjects to study in college. We really loved the displays “show case” at the end. I highly recommend this program." - Maura Tomaszewski (parent), Summer 2017
