From Drawing to Painting to Experimentation is an?intensive summer college art program for high school students who are serious about art. Engage in a college-level curriculum led by active artist–faculty. The course includes painting, drawing, designing, and experimenting in a modern studio spaces.
You’ll end up with at least 6 portfolio ready pieces for your college application and three transferable college credits. The course culminates in an exhibition which family and friends are invited to attend.
The course is open to students entering Grade 11 or 12 in Fall 2026.
Hudson River Ecology Course is an early undergraduate college-level course?for students who are interested in learning more about the river ecology, as experienced in the Hudson River.?Explore concepts such as local geography, water quality, organism relationships, populations, aquatic habitats, and human impacts. Engage in outdoor and laboratory data collection, such as sediment surveying, plankton collection, fish identification, and bacteria monitoring. Earn an optional college credit.
The course is open to students entering Grade 11 or 12 in Fall 2026, recent high school graduates, and current early college undergraduate students.
Writers' Week is an immersive week-long experience combining creative writing and the performance arts.
Attend writing and theatre workshops led by prose writers, poets, and performance artists. Included in the week are mini-workshops taught by program faculty, graduate students and guest artists. Rooted in the Sarah Lawrence College tradition of one-on-one interaction, the program offers students the opportunity to meet in small groups with workshop leaders. The program also includes faculty and student readings and a celebration of student work on the final day of the program.?
