Sail Caribbean offers ten different adventure groups with 30 different sessions in the British Virgin and Leeward Islands of the Caribbean. You live aboard a modern 50′ monohull yacht or 45′ catamaran with other teens in your age group and learn to sail. No experience is necessary. Every adventure focuses on an activity, but each offers scuba, marine biology, community service, cultural exchange, watersports, friendships, personal growth and lifelong memories.
Students looking for a unique summer adventures - we offer eight different program groups. Experiential learning and leadership education is integrated into every session through our unique True Course curriculum. We teach students practical life skills: teamwork, communication, and decision-making resulting in increased independence and self-confidence. Each program has a distinct focus including sailing, scuba, water sports, leadership, marine science, cultural immersion, and service-learning. Students live-aboard 46' to 50' sailboats. Crews are co-ed and grouped by age and grade on each boat. We sail in fleets so you'll enjoy the camaraderie of your crew plus the social opportunities created by the larger group. Community service is built into every program. Giving back to the islands we visit is an important element of these trips. Students earn from 5 to 30 service hours, depending on the program chosen. Service activities include both ecological projects and youth development initiatives. Scuba diving is optional. You can try it for the first time, get certified or earn advanced Scuba certifications.
