    Overview

Join a summer camp in Costa Rica and contribute to rainforest conservation in a protected area! You will help to study local biodiversity, implement sustainable safety measures, find alternative solutions to prevent logging and poaching and contribute to the overall goal of creating a space for both humans and nature to flourish. The foundation in Costa Rica is perfect for a sustainable ecotourism holiday, owning and protecting over 140 hectares of nature. The eventual aim is to preserve 2,000 hectares of tropical forest in order for humans and nature to coexist harmoniously.

In addition to working on the project, you will have a variety of cultural and recreational activities planned. These may include hiking in San Jos'e, excursions to see volcanoes, boat trips and diving activities, among others.

This program is for 15-17 year olds. Included are all projects and activities, accommodation in shared rooms, return trip airport transfer, orientation and training, all meals during the project and 2 meals per day when not at the project, local transportation, dedicated group coordinator and 24/7 emergency assistance. Not included are international/local flights, any personal expenses or additional excursions and insurance. Travel and health insurance is required to participate.
