    Overview

MEP Pre-College Summer Engineering Programs are for high school students who aspire to attend college. Our programs introduce students to Purdue University through discovery, engagement, learning, and preparation for college and careers in engineering. Although MEP strives to attract students from historically underrepresented groups, programs are open to all.

Our summer pre-college programs are open to rising 10th-12th grade students.

Pre-Freshman and Cooperative Education (PREFACE) seeks to create a cooperative environment for students heading into their sophomore or junior year of high school who aspire to attend college. It is a one-week, one-credit residential summer workshop that focuses on college readiness with a strong emphasis on math and engineering projects.

The Multiethnic Introduction to Engineering (MITE) is a two-week, two-credit college simulation program modeled after the Engineering Academic Boot Camp that focuses on college readiness with a strong emphasis on math and engineering projects.
