    Overview

Oxford Royale's Law and Trial Advocacy Academy at Yale University and the University of California, Berkeley, provides you with a broad introduction to the theory and practice of law. It will equip you with a strong set of logical and argumentative skill through legal case studies and a Mock Trial Simulation.

At our Law & Trial Advocacy Academy, you'l gain insight into Criminal and Civil Law, while exploring facets of Business Law, Contract Law, Ethics and Human Rights.

By experiencing the legal process and learning about evidence, case preparation, oral arguments, cross-examination and witness preparation, you'll strengthen your critical thinking, communication, and rhetorical skills and learn how to develop, argue and win your case. The highpoint of the course is our Mock Trial Simulation, where you'll have the opportunity to put your new found oratory capabilities to the test.

Our Law programs are designed for students who are planning their pathway to Law School or who intend to pursue a law degree at University.

You’ll be staying on campus at Yale University, one of the oldest and most prestigious US colleges, or at UC Berkeley, to experience authentic undergraduate life. It’s a unique opportunity to learn in the setting where many lawyers, politicians and public figures have started out, and a taste of higher education to set you on a path to academic and career achievement.

Through a variety of teaching methods, including interactive lectures, workshops, project-based group work and masterclasses, you’ll gain knowledge of your subject, additional insights and the opportunity to examine and grow your ambitions.

Our Law & Trial Advocacy Academy is delivered by a world class faculty of experts and teachers, many from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and Ivy League colleges, who bring out the best in every individual. Through small class sizes and a range of different perspectives, we deliver a holistic learning and development experience. You’ll return home with new-found confidence alongside the insights you've gained.

We've welcomed young people from more than 170 nationalities since 2004, and a summer with us is the perfect opportunity to gain a global perspective, increase cultural awareness and develop an international network of friends and connections.

Law is a notoriously demanding and competitive field, and successfully applying to your chosen law school is a significant first hurdle. Our Law programs can help build a strong application, as well as increased confidence in what is required of a law student.
