At our home the Brooklyn Navy Yard, ONE Lab students grow biomaterials (e.g. mycelium & wheatgrass, among others) from scratch. After learning various innovative methods of climate resiliency, they create projects via an interdisciplinary bio-design process, problem solve creatively, lead their own research, are mentored by leading industry professionals working in architecture, industrial/urban design, and related fields, and leave with a digital portfolio + evaluation good for college applications.
