ONE Lab Summer Studio

ONE Lab, the educational arm of award-winning design firm Terreform ONE, offers in-person pre-college courses that equip students with the knowledge and skills to build green futures. The unique program combines morning seminars where students learn the history, theory & practice of socio-environmental architecture & urban design, & afternoon studio where students use that context to ground their creative and fabricating practice. 25% DISCOUNT for few remaining seats.

At our home the Brooklyn Navy Yard, ONE Lab students grow biomaterials (e.g. mycelium & wheatgrass, among others) from scratch. After learning various innovative methods of climate resiliency, they create projects via an interdisciplinary bio-design process, problem solve creatively, lead their own research, are mentored by leading industry professionals working in architecture, industrial/urban design, and related fields, and leave with a digital portfolio + evaluation good for college applications.

Two sessions of a two-week program: S1 (M 7/3 - Th 7/13) has greater availability, S2 (M 7/17 - Th 7/27) has waitlist that may open up. Automatic 20% discount for all Teen Life applicants, for total tuition/materials cost of $1620. Accepting applications for more funding support, but please note almost aid has been awarded; further requests require proof of need. Payment may be split in two.
