    Overview

The four-week Leadership Development Program (LDP), designed for teens entering grades 9-11, is an intensive program where participants are challenged to grow in leadership and habits that are essential to youth & family ministry. This is a two-year program with the first year being instruction based and the second year being hands-on practical application.

Over the course of the 2-year program, participants are offered the opportunity to learn & lead activities and gain valuable training that will help outside of camp life.

All LDP should have a desire to grow in their faith and want to develop life skills that will translate into becoming a leader and mentor to youth and peer groups. LDP’s are expected to be active participants in the program and to assume the role of mentor to campers by sharing and practicing strong Christian values. As such, we have been very intentional to include specific program elements which will encourage the fulillment of the programs goals:

    • Understanding Camping Ministry
    • Service Projects Worship & Faith Development
    • Support Staff Departments
    • Activity Leadership & Instruction
    • Health & Safety Concepts
    • Community Living
    • Mentoring
    • Behavior & Problem Solving
    • Team Building
    • Small Group Process
