Building Leaders
Maven Youth is developing LGBT+ youth tech leaders through skill and confidence building to lead peer workshops and summer tech camps, Our leadership development opportunities elevate LGBT+ youth as equity-driven leaders in our community.
Cohort Of Leaders
Leaders will be selected for each summer camp Maven Youth will host. Camps are both in-person and virtual. Leaders will work in a group of 4 to provide free summer tech camps for LGBT+ Youth across the country
Leadership Training
Leaders will be trained by Maven Youth staff on tech competencies such as coding, digital art, and game development. All leaders will attend leadership retreats and training from March to the start of the summer camp season.
Travel / Lodging
Leaders who will be traveling with Maven Youth will have all their travel expenses covered (flights /housing/ meals). Leaders must adhere to COVID requirements for travel and testing. Youth leaders are not required to travel for in-person, they can lead only virtually if they like.
