Marist College's Environmental Institute is an excellent summer program designed for incoming high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors eager to learn more about environmental science.
Throughout this virtual program, students will become more aware of present environmental issues such as water pollution and climate change. They can expect to cover topics such as ecology as well as how to live a more sustainable life and minimize your environmental footprint. Students will collaborate with peers to hypothesize the more innovative solutions to present challenges. Every day, there will be online lectures, activities, group discussions, and personal research. By the end of the program, students should have an increased understanding of the foundations of environmental science and how they can personally adjust their lifestyles to lead a more sustainable life.
