    Overview

    Students join a two week one to one web development journey learning to build websites using HTML for structure and CSS for styling. They create pages with text, images, links, layouts, colors, and forms while learning responsive and clean design. With mentor guidance they finish a portfolio ready site and gain skills, confidence, and eligibility for advanced web learning.

    In this 2-week 1:1 immersive journey of 2 hours per day, students dive into building web pages from scratch using HTML for structure and CSS for styling.Guided by a YoungGates Mentor, learners get hands-on experience creating interactive, visually appealing websites, while understanding best practices in web design and development.By the end of Module 1, students will build their first portfolio-ready website, learning to combine creativity with coding logic.

    What Students Will Learn

    HTML Basics: Structure pages using headings, paragraphs, links, images, lists

    CSS Fundamentals: Style text, layouts, colors, backgrounds, and borders

    Responsive Design: Make web pages adapt to different screen sizes using basic CSS techniques

    Box Model & Layouts: Understand padding, margin, borders, and element positioning

    Interactive Elements: Add buttons, hover effects, and simple forms

    Week 2 – “Styling & Layout with CSS”• Learn CSS basics: colors, fonts, borders, backgrounds, and spacing• Explore the box model and element positioning• Make pages visually appealing with hover effects and interactive elements

    1 Styled Portfolio — Enhance your HTML pages with CSS styling

    2 Interactive Gallery — Add hover effects and transitions to images

    3 Contact Form Page — Build a functional form with basic styling
