Welcome to your child’s first step into coding. In this 2-week 1:1 program of 2 hours a day, students learn Python basics, logic, loops, and debugging through fun hands-on projects. Week 1 builds a smart calculator and chatbot, and Week 2 creates loops, games, and turtle art. A mentor guides every session. Students showcase a final project and earn a Python Explorer certificate.
Welcome to your child’s first step into coding!
In this 2-week 1:1 immersive journey of 2 hours per day, students will be personally guided by a YoungGates Mentor who hand-holds them through every step — from writing their very first line of code to building their own fun, interactive projects.By the end of this program, your child won’t just learn coding — they’ll fall in love with it!
What Students Will Learn
Programming Logic: Understanding how computers “think” and follow instructions
Python Basics: Variables, data types, input/output, operators, and simple expressions
Control Structures: Writing decisions using if, else, and creating simple loops
Debugging Skills: How to find and fix errors logically
Creative Thinking: Building projects that bring imagination to lifeMentor ensures each concept is understood through practice, not theory. Every class includes mini challenges and peer discussions to keep motivation high.
Week-by-Week Breakdown
Week 1 – “Talk to the Computer”• Learn how to make Python print, calculate, and respond.• Understand how logic flows in coding.• Practice through guided exercises like:o Smart Calculator: A program that performs operations based on user inputo Chatty Bot: A fun chatbot that greets users and asks questions
Mentor Activity:Each student codes live with the mentor, getting personalized feedback and “aha moments” explained patiently.
Week 2 – “Think Like a Coder”• Explore loops and conditions (if, for, while)• Learn to combine logic and creativity• Build real mini-projects:o Lucky Number Game: Random number guessing game using logico Art with Python Turtle: Create shapes and drawings using codeo Mission CodeQuest: A simple text-based adventure game
Mentor Role:Encourages independent coding while providing daily check-ins. Students begin writing their own ideas and testing them with mentor feedback.
Project Showcase (End of Module 1)Students will present their favourite project in a live demo session.
Outcome & CertificationAt the end of 2 weeks, students earn: YoungGates Certified Python Explorer Personalized Feedback Report Star Rating & Eligibility for Level 2 – Python Creator
Mentorship Promise“We don’t just teach code — we teach confidence.”Each learner gets:• Weekly progress tracking• Daily mentor Q&A support• Fun coding challenges for practice at home• Motivational feedback to build consistency
