    Overview

    Students will develop their writing skills, enhance their vocabularies, and read poetry and prose to build on the analytical abilities needed to complete writing assignments in the areas of exposition, argumentation, description, and narration. Find out more!

    Are you worried that your middle schooler only knows the casual language of texting and the internet? This course will teach students the more formal language required for written assignments by focusing on correct grammar, word usage, spelling, punctuation, and parts of speech. Students will also learn how to write a variety of complex sentences. Sound writing mechanics will enable students to communicate more effectively in their written assignments. In addition to writing mechanics, students will work on computer keyboarding skills. Students will learn keyboard shortcuts, and work in programs that are useful in school and every day life.
