Students entering grades 9–11 in the fall of 2020 can attend Destinations Career Academy's tuition-free online summer school and earn credit while exploring high-demand career fields.
Students can select one of three tuition-free online courses:
Business and Marketing Explorations
Students explore career options in business and marketing so that they can better assess which pathway to pursue. Students study the concepts of marketing, financial management, and human resource management, and complete projects to develop a deeper understanding of the roles these business functions play.
Students are introduced to healthcare careers so that they can better assess which pathway to pursue. Students study the concepts of disease prevention, personal health management, and social work, and complete projects to develop a deeper understanding of the roles these healthcare functions play.
Students are introduced to information technology careers so that they can better assess which pathway to pursue. Students study the concepts of networking information support, web and digital communications, and programming and software development.
