    Overview

    Program dates: June 7-12, 2026

This pre-college program offers high school students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade a chance to engage with AI technologies, as well as think about how, why, when, and if we should use them. Through sessions with leading cybersecurity experts, renowned data scientists, marketing experts, and AI communication specialists, students will have a chance to develop their critical AI literacy.

Students enrolled in the program will engage in college-level workshops taught by Eckerd faculty in small class sizes. Students will have the opportunity to build and create functional tools and/or games using advanced coding, engage in a cybersecuirty challenge designed by Eckerd Information Technology Services staff, learn about how AI is being used in marketing, utilize VR headsets and drones, visit a global cybersecurity tech company, enjoy social evening activities and experience Eckerd College’s beautiful coastal campus.
