This summer, why not try a great new sport, make new friends and have fun doing it? Fencing is not only fun, it develops coordination, strategic thinking and fitness. We believe that coaches, teammates, and families are the core of good youth sports programs and that a good sport is a good champion. We also believe that every child can be a champion in their own right. We believe that sports are a part of life and that the skills we learn through sports are skills for life.
Golden Gate Fencing Center was founded in 1997 with the express goal of creating a fencing center where youth and adults can train and reach their potential in the sport of fencing. Whether that is having fun and crossing swords with their teammates, or reaching for the Gold at the Olympics, GGFC can and will provide the absolute best coaching and support possible. We believe in the power of positive coaching and long term athlete development. All of our coaches are Positive Coaching Alliance certified and work everyday to support the principles of the PCA in our coaching. We also believe that fencing is a long term, life-long sport and we want each fencer to enjoy fencing so that they can continue to enjoy the sport throughout their life as well as excel in the sport should they so desire. We have trained and taught Olympic team members, national champions, recreational adults, and kids galore.
