GirlVentures Recently Updated

GirlVentures combines outdoor adventure with social emotional learning for adolescent girls and gender expansive youth. Participants build confidence, leadership and life skills as they backpack, hike, kayak, and rock climb, while being instructed and guided  by experienced Wilderness First Responders. GirlVentures utilizes a sliding scale fee structure, which will include all gear, food, and transportation. 

GirlVentures combines outdoor adventure with social emotional learning for adolescents (with *girls* referring to cis girls, gender expansive youth, trans girls, trans boys, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth, gender queer youth and any girl-identified youth).

Our youth build confidence, leadership and life skills as they backpack, hike, kayak and rock climb. They learn from experiential educators and mentors while gaining knowledge and tools that empower them to reach their full potential.

GirlVentures courses are for youth entering 6th-12th grade, with opportunities to become an Assistant Instructor or Logistics Coordinator for future  Summer Courses

GirlVentures has 6 courses that run in the summertime, 7 day to 14 day experiences in various regions of California. Two of these courses are Affinity Courses, one for BIPOC youth and the other for Queer Identified youth and their allies. 

We make our programs as widely accessible as possible and actively promote inclusion, diversity, and cultural humility. To ensure that participants from all communities can access our programs, GirlVentures utilizes a sliding scale fee structure, which will include all gear, food, and transportation from the GirlVentures office.
