    The pre-college fashion program in Florence, Italy will immerse students in the world of fashion through visits to artisan workshops and fashion ateliers, museums and Fashion Systems coursework. Participants will join like-minded students to learn first hand what to expect when pursuing a degree in fashion.

    The Fashions of Florence Pre- College program gives students the chance to explore Florence, the jewel of Tuscany, the heart of the Renaissance and a true outdoor museum. The iconic city is the perfect sized, safe and secure town with many students choosing the city for their experiences abroad. Students will have the opportunity to explore the city during both class field trips and organized activities. Students will have 40 non-credit hours of courses in Fashion Systems: Design, Production and Business covering the full process of bringing ideas to market from the basics of design, product development, production and business. At the end of two weeks, students will have a clear overview of fashion as a business and an idea of how to begin their journey in the fashion industry. Accommodations are in modern air-conditioned single rooms at The Student Hotel, a self-contained accommodation and entertainment complex that has an in house restaurant, rooftop pool, gym, free wifi and study spaces. The hotel has many indoor and outdoor spaces to indulge in everything from a quiet reading nook to a movie night. The hotel often organizes special activities and events like concerts and food festivals so there will be plenty of activities to enjoy during the evenings.
