Project Fashion teaches emerging designers and entrepreneurs the ins and outs of the fashion industry. Design your own clothes, see the artists at work on company tours and collaborate with new friends under the guidance of expert instructors.
Project Fashion introduces students to a wide variety of careers in the fashion industry. It goes beyond just the craft of designing, but also into the business of making a living in fashion. The program is focused on designing and developing different product categories for established brands. Students will discover jobs that they didn’t even know existed such as trend forecaster, technical designer, stylist, product developer, brand manager and more.
Working as a collaborative team, students will stimulate and engage their creativity through developing a product line for an existing company, consistent with its brand profile. There will be a variety of creative hands-on projects in various workshops, developed for different skill levels. The projects incorporate branding, market research, trend forecasting, creative design, mood boards, theme concepts, color palettes, flat sketching, fabrics, trims and details to create a cohesive collection for a specific target consumer and season.

Live at USC
You will live in the University of Southern California’s (USC) dorms to see what it’s like to live on a college campus and enjoy all the perks! In addition to the food provided at USC, you will taste our favorite local spots, catered meals, and food trucks.
So this summer, let your imagination run wild in LA and see what kind of magic you can create.
I have to thank the Experience America team for such an amazing time I had on your Game Experience program last year!! Getting a chance to actually meet the creators of Valve's big titles games was absolutely the highlight of my trip! This program has increased my passion for wanting to become a professional video game developer and seeing first hand into Big Fish, Pop Cap Games and seeing new games and technologies that are not yet out for the public completely blew my mind!! I will never forget the fun times I had around Seattle with the Experience America Team and I appreciate the bond we made throughout my visit. I truly cant thank you all enough and I look forward to seeing you guys next time im in Seattle.- Jacob Rhumier - January 31, 2014
Each time I look back at the 3 weeks I spent on the University of Washington campus I get goosebumps. The weather is so beautiful and everyday was better than the next. The program hosts are so helpful and kind, and so much FUN to be around. They made us laugh constantlty which made it very easy to feel comfortable right away when we started out. I couldnt believe how cool it was to use our own creativity and ideas to develop video games with the help of our video game instructors. The video games company tours are so cool!!! We had to sign Non Disclosure Agreements at Valve, Microsoft X-Box Studios because they were showing us new games that had not even hit the public yet!! We got a chance to game test at Monolith Studios which blew my mind. I couldnt have had a better trip. From top to bottom I will miss you guys so much and seriously thank you for a time I will never ever forget! All the best!- Timothy - August 24, 2013
