DIYA Research is a non-profit organization that aims to educate young and curious minds to conduct research on social problems using data analysis. Through computer programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and visualization tools, we provide data-inspired ideas and insights for social good.
The DIYA summer program provides students an opportunity to learn data science basics and apply machine learning to real-life problems. Students conduct foundational research working with university professors and industry professionals. The program provides an excellent opportunity to interact and learn from experts in the field of data science.
The DIYA Summer Bootcamp is a three-week program where students learn the basics of python programming, data analysis, and visualization. Students will attend online lectures and work on assignments during online lab sessions.
Two Bootcamp sessions are offered
Session 1: June 6, 2022 - June 25, 2022
Session 2: July 11, 2022 - July 30, 2022
The curriculum is the same in both sessions. The DIYA Bootcamp is open to all high school students.
Each Bootcamp session consists of eight teacher-led sessions and seven mentor-led sessions.
The DIYA Research program is an eight-week program where students will conduct foundational research using real-world data sets. The research program is open only to students who have completed advanced math courses and are proficient in python programming.
