    Overview

    The Dean Summer Arts Institute provides an opportunity for high school students ages 14-18 to work on their acting, singing and dancing skills with renowned faculty during our one-week musical theatre intensive at Dean College.

    INFORMATION

    The Dean Summer Arts Institute offers both a one-week Dance and a Musical Theatre Intensive! 

    The Dance Intensive offers high school students ages 14-18 who are interested in majoring in dance a jam-packed one-week summer dance intensive. The program features workshops in dance on camera, conditioning for dance, college prep, resume writing, headshots, and more help you step into the life of an aspiring dancer. You'll also receive conservatory training in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and related dance techniques taught by world-class faculty.

    The Musical Theater Intensive offers an opportunity for high school students ages 14-18 to study acting, singing and dancing with renowned faculty and guest artists. Learn about auditioning, picking repertoire, acting for the camera, self-taping, and rehearsal techniques. You'll also enjoy workshops on stage combat, resume writing, headshots, conditioning for the actor, college prep and more, helping you gear up for your next college audition or casting call.

    Both programs off staff-guided residential program with 24-hour supervision and an athletic trainer on-site for injury prevention.

    No audition necessary to participate in the program.
