The Cottonwood Gulch Wild Country Trek is a fantastic opportunity for teens who are interested in exploring the great outdoors and challenge themselves!
For three weeks, students will explore New Mexico. Some activities they can expect include music, art, hiking, science, archaeologu, and much more! They will also learn the basics of planning for an expedition, including packing and all the preparation beforehand. Though there is no requirement for substantial experience in the wildnerness, teens with a sense of adventure generally will enjoy themselves more. The highlights of the program include backpacking and camping. They may also head to the Gila National Forest or the Pecos Wilderness. There, they can experience the mountain vistas and alpine lakes. Throughout their adventures, students will also have the opportunity to engage with local park rangers, scientists, and artists. They'll come away with more knowledge about nature, outdoor skills, new friends, and unforgettable memories!
