Want to feel what it is like to be a scientist? Join the Natural Sciences Education & Outreach Center in exploring scientific practices first hand. This summer camp is open to high school students who are at least 15 years of age.
Students participating in SciTrek will tackle real world problems from a scientific standpoint. In the past, topics have included the mountain pine beetle infestation, invasive weeds, groundwater quality and quantity, dendrochronology, geographic mapping, etc. Students will receive personal mentoring from first-class teachers, staff and expert guest presenters. Three of the five mornings will be spent entirely in an outdoor field setting and will include a moderate amount of hiking.
