Students work with our band coaches in practice, jams and rehearsals. Theory, singing, eurhythmics and private instrumental instruction are all included. Emphasis is on composition and improvisation.
Seven 1-week sessions; sign up for one or more weeks. Participants join a band coached by one of our exciting and experienced instructors, rehearsing daily, writing their own music, and learning the skills necessary to flourish in both a musical ensemble and in a group of their peers. All styles and instruments welcome.
Each day ends with an art class where band members work together to create a name and logo for posters and screen-printed t-shirts. Field trips and outdoor jams in the park, weather permitting. The week ends with a performance at 1pm on Friday.
