    Overview

The CASC Summer Leadership Conference is a four-day, residential program hosted at UC Santa Barbara. The California Association of Student Councils is a nonprofit organization founded by the CA Department of Education in 1947. At the Summer Leadership Conference, students will participate in workshops and work in group settings to learn leadership skills, to lead groups, and to apply their skills to create change in their communities.

The Summer Leadership Conference is held at UC Santa Barbara from July 28th to 31st. This program typically acts as a gateway for students to gain deeper involvement in CASC as an organization- Eventually working to create real, statewide legislative change (SB 14, AB 367, AB 1867). CASC Leaders have gone on to attend universities including Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Cornell- Citing CASC as their primary extracurricular invovlement.
