Whether it’s hiking along the Napa River, making asteroids out of dry ice, or working as a group to tackle a service project, Ursa Major’s program provides a summer full of innovation, safety, and excitement.

Our summer camp program is designed for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade. The day program activities include: Sports&Games, Arts&Crafts, Nature&Ecology, Outdoor Cooking, Water Sports, Rock Climbing

    YOUNG STEWARDS

The Young Stewards Program is dedicated young adults entering 7th grade and 8th grade  who love camp and would like to grow as model citizens for our community. The Young Stewards Program offers overnight camping trips, team building, and service projects that support growth of key skills like leadership and grit. And, of course, Young Stewards participate in all the awesome programs offered throughout the day at camp.

    COUNSELOR IN TRAINING

The Counselor-in-Training program is for 9th and 10th graders who are truly interested in learning to develop their leadership skills.

While our CIT program is popular, it is not for everyone!! Although counselors-in-training are still technically be a campers, which means they still have the opportunity to have fun and do some of the things they like at camp, they have more responsibility and are expected to do much more as a CIT. XTRA CAMP

Busy Parents: Camp Ursa Major is here for you!

Camp takes place from 9:00 to 3:30 each day, but there’s even more growth, learning and friendships to be found in XTRA Camp! Enjoy the flexibility of dropping your child off between 8:00 and 9:00 am, or picking them up between 4:00 and 5:30 pm. During this time, XTRA Campers are organized into smaller groups and take part in a variety of activities. These may include arts & crafts, sports & games, teambuilding, drama, or even putting together special projects for the rest of camp.
