    Overview

    Camp Tuckabatchee Inc. is a day and resident camp, established 1927. Camp covers 150 acres of wooded hills and valleys with trails running throughout. Our programs provide a safe, secure, environment where each individual can develop an understanding of and an appreciation for nature.Find out more!

    Camp Tuckabatchee is located 90 miles west of Chicago on Route 80 North of Ottawa, Illinois on Route 23.  

    Camp Tuckabatchee's offers a Day Camp experiece for campers ages 5-12 and Residential programs for kids and teens ages 7 to 16. 

    Campers in our summer resident camp enjoy hiking, swimming, team games, arts & crafts, campfires, hayrack rides, nightly programs, smores, stories, and more! We offer both a mini and week long overnight experience. 

    Teen Travel Campers are split into two groups by age (13-14 and 15-16 years old) and includes many of the traditional acitivies our resident campers enjoy as well as tent camping, survival skills, shelter building and a canoe trip on the Fox River. 

    For teens looking for a leaderhsip experience, our Counselor-in-Training program. is a 2-week leadership program where they work with younger campers during daily programming and assist Directors and Senior Staff in all areas of Camp. Teens must be 14 years old to apply for this special opportunity. Many of our CITs go on to become great camp couselors!
