“The wonder of the Grand Canyon cannot be adequately represented in symbols of speech, nor by speech itself,” said John Wesley Powell, explorer. Descend into the canyon and spend time within its soaring walls. Swim in the creeks of Zion National park, hike to waterfalls on the canyon floor, and whitewater raft the Colorado River inside the canyon itself. You’ll also learn to rock climb in Utah’s Saint George and hike in Zion National Park’s Narrows.
For 15 days, students will explore the beautiful nature and make memories for a lifetime. During the day, they will climb the mountains and swim in the rivers. By night, they'll camp outdoors in comfortable tents provided by Bold Earth. Students can even expect to fulfill 6 service hours as they participate in the beautification of the Narrow Canyons of Zion National Park. Some of the most exciting activities included in the itinerary are:
- rock climbing in Saint George, Utah
- hiking to the peak of 1,500 foot tall Angels Peak at the Zion National Park
- visiting Horshoe Bend and Marble Canyon
- enjoying a sunrise view of the Grand Canyon
- last but not least, a three-day rafting trip down the Colorado River
The very last night will be spent at a hotel in Las Vegas before students depart to the airport.
